War of American Aggression Museum – 2 of Many – Agent Orange
Here’s the one thing the War Museum did well: clearly enunciating how terrible Agent Orange was.
ProPublica recently did a piece of about how Americans suffered from Agent Orange. Well, guess what! If one of them had visited the War Museum, they could have seen the interviews done with American service members and their families about the damage Agent Orange wreaked on them and their progeny.
A lot. A lot of havoc.
Ironically, the piece came out just after I’d visited the museum. Still, ProPublica was quite a few years behind the curve.
War of American Aggression Museum – 1 of Many
Many, many, many Europeans raved about the war museum and how great it was. I found this surprising considering the generally high quality of museums in major European countries.
The museum was meh. I write this not just because I’m a good patriotic Rah-Rah-Rah! American but because the museum really was just sub-par.
I know the context, the back story, all the other things going on, but none of the European (or Australian) visitors did, context that was needed but not provided.
Plus, there just wasn’t that much.

Horse leg in Alcalde on 5-17-2015; 2 of 2
Walking back from photographing a car crash, I looked in the arroyo and lo and behold! a horse leg, partially bleached bone. Unfortunately, there was a fence in the arroyo. Took from above on the bridge on State Road 68.
